He has been a television host and producer, college professor and administrator, author of college texts and host of an educational television series on Communication Psychology and Organizational Behavior.
Don is the author of Situational Communication: Relating Styles™, the popular seminar that teaches management and sales professionals how to achieve results with relationship, and The Relating Styles of Successful • Effective • Negotiators, a seminar that teaches executives, managers and other professional groups how to clarify and change conflicting points of view and expectations in order to reach a mutually acceptable result; negotiating to win/win.
In 1996, Don wrote The Team Charter: A Guide To Developing Performance Focused Teams. The Lachlan Group has developed two seminars – Team Building and Planning And Implementation Teams – based on this publication.
The Strategic Action Process (1997) is Don’s most recent publication. This process helps organizations turn vision, values and strategic direction into action. It involves people at all levels in making a contribution to the organization’s future.
Don’s educational background includes a Masters degree in Speech/Communications from Wayne State University, Detroit; and Doctorate degree in Education from University of Toronto, Toronto.
